30 x 30 | Days Sixteen and Seventeen

button up | old navy, tank | charlotte russe, skirt | thrifted, $3
I got caught up in life so here are days sixteen and seventeen.  I switched the green tshirt in my 30 items for this white tank and really liked it over the gingham button up at first.  For some reason I wasn't as fond of the look when I got home from work.

I went to the iPhone archives for this outfit for day seventeen -- I quickly made an album of various combinations before I started the challenge and it has been so useful on days when I'm running late or don't feel creative enough to put together an outfit. So nifty.

I'm hoping to use this long weekend to catch up on everyone's last few blog posts (and loving comments!)

Have a great long weekend!

30 x 30 | Day Fifteen

chinos | h&m, leopard loafers | target
I honestly could not believe that I hadn't worn my cable knit sweater already.  So much so, that I had to pull up my chart in my notebook, my spreadsheet and eventually my blog before accepting that I'd apparently overlooked it in the 30 x 30 section of my closet a few times.  I debated between pulling it over a button up before deciding to just pull it on and throw a scarf on.  So cozy and I love this scarf.

Speaking of things I love: LOGG for H&M chinos - give me all of them in all of the colors.  Shopping for pants is one of my least favorite things.  I'm pear shaped and can hardly ever find pants that fit in a way I consider flattering to my figure, but these pants never make me feel too hippy.  I bought my first pair in coral last spring and have four different colors now.  They're so comfortable and you can cuff the hem or roll it a few times to make them appear cropped.  On top of that, they're great casual pants; I've found that I rarely wear jeans now.  I could go on and on about these pants but it's just really great to find clothing that doesn't make you worry about your body insecurities.

30 x 30 | Day Fourteen

Today was such a bleh day - woke up after three hours of sleep to mother calling me frantically about car trouble, raced from the Lexus dealer back to the house to let one of the contractors in, rushed through a shower, realized I seem to have misplaced my winter foundation and so my face looks like it received a terrible spray tan, went to work with spray tan face still on and left work to find a nice sleet snow combo covering the roads.  So looking forward to spending some one on one time with my bed.

I cannot believe that I will be halfway through doing this challenge tomorrow; it has been such a blast and has introduced me to so many amazing bloggers (Thanks Sam!).

Linking up with Shanna and The Pleated Poppy today :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

30 x 30 | Day Thirteen

One of my favorite bloggers, Angela from Selfless Ambition nominated me for another Liebster Award, so I've updated my post from Day Nine to include her questions as well.  She raised one of the best I've seen so far: What is your take on J. Crew? Love it and shop there often or cute but way overpriced?  Sound off below :)

shirt | talbot's, thrifted ($3), button up | brooks brothers, chinos | h&m
Still brainstorming (and struggling quite a bit if we're being completely honest) different ways to style this shirt.  Send me a message via comment, email or carrier pigeon if you have any thoughts on this pressing matter.

30 x 30 | Day Twelve

When Lynette posted about the massive shoe clearance happening at Target, I actually gasped. Not like a cute, little gasp but the gasp you make when you almost drown and somehow manage to pull your head up and need air. Yikes.

So last night after work, I casually drove to the Target by my house and surveyed the promised land. Almost all of the shoes were on clearance and beautiful and not terribly picked over yet.  This led to me driving to another Target (this may have been crossing into shopaholic territory, in retrospect).  I'm so excited about the latest additions to my shoe rack (not so excited that my shoe rack is full womp, womp)

vianca loafers in leopard and metallic
They were marked down from $19.99 to $9.98 - who doesn't love 50% off?

Today was a busy, busy Sunday with two outfits instead of just one.  I started out with an early morning work meeting that had a tea party theme.

gingham button up | old navy, gray skirt | worthington by jcpenney
A good outfit for drinking tea out of fancy china and eating cupcakes.

I quickly changed after eating lunch with my coworkers and went out for some flea market shopping with one of my friends.

Linking up with Carly and Molly for YOLO Monday!
